About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

I am currently on a z visa, and I just quit my job , the residence permit is until 25th of apr 2010, and i didn't finish the full year of my contract. Will I have to start from scratch to get a new work visa when I try to find a new job in another city?

The major problem for me is that I'm a 20 year old guy who after highschool has been teaching 2 years on tourist visa, and 8 months on a work visa. So because 2 years experience on a tourist visa can't legally count, and i didn't start college yet, I don't have the prerequisites for the work permit but my previous job was able to get me one.

Anyways, they company already collected my foreign expert certificate, and they are going to change my visa back into a tourist visa for 1 month, will it still be easier later on to get another work visa? It's been really hard and i couldn't get one in Shanghai in the past. They said they'll provide me with a recommendation saying that I did 1 year at owens, and did really well... , could that work at the embassy towards applying towards another work visa?

yes, you need to get a new work visa when you try to find a new job in another city. The bachelor degree is required for a work visa application, otherwise, it is hard for your employer to get a Foreign Expert Certificate. The recommendation letter is useful for you to hunt job, you can ask your new employer to help you to get the Foreign Expert Certificate.
