I guess you can get a visa upon arrival at the entry ports of Shenzhen, one completed visa application card and your original passport are required. The fee is HK$150.

You "guess"? How sure are you? I'm not trying to get there and be refused entry.

Here nobody can tell you an assuring answer because it is up to the decision of immigration officers at the entry ports of Shenzhen. The other problem is that you hold a Ghanian passport rather than a paspsort of European countries or a wealthy country.

Mr. Billy, I know a Norwegian lady and she had to get a Shenzen visa before going from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. So I'm 100% sure you'll have to find an embassy and get a visa too before you go. Better to go to the Chinese embassy and let them say you're okay, than turn up at the port and be sent home.

A word to the wise...
