Hi! I am travelling to Shenzhen for the first time in January. The weather tips I've read is very helpful :) I am looking forward to do a lot of shopping while in Shenzhen. I heard the shops normally closed at 6pm. Is this correct?

No, it is not true. Wholesale markets will close early in the evening. Shops and malls are still open till 10pm at least.
