About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Experts,

I am a British engineering graduate working as an intern for an international company in Shanghai. I currently hold a resident permits (X type). My boss has experessed interest in offering me a full time position for at least two years but i fear i may struggle to obtain the 'Z' type (work) resident permit required.

Do i qualify as a 'foreign expert' without 2 years relative experience after graduation? I have worked for 6 years in relative industry but prior to my graduation from University in England.

The company has experience in employing overseas staff but usually just brought in from other offices in Europe. All of these staff have many years experience and therefore qualify without an issue.

Also is it a simply process to simply swith permit classification from 'X' type to 'Z' type?

Thank you in advance!

I think that you should be able to obtain a Z visa as many teachers have no experience at all. As your organisation is experienced in applying for Z visas I would expect that they would know how to handle any issues should they come up.
