About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

I have a Chinese friend who was traveling to the USA to spend sometime here with my family. She of course had a her visa with her. She was told that she did not have enough cash and was not allowed to proceed. Is there a minimal cash requirement that a Chinese citizen who is traveling to the USA must have to be allowed to leave the country? Your response would be greatly apreciated.

I haven't heard about this requirement. If she will go to USA in a tour group, a valid proof of 100,000RMB bank deposite should be supplied. However, no strict requirement on cash.
