Dear Sir
I have got a couple of questions:
1. is there any possibility to apply for a 90-day chinese tourist visa for the time being in Pakistan - i am a polish passport holder.
2. do I have to submit a letter of invitation while applying the chinese visa at the Embassy of China in Islamabad

I'm afraid that you can't get a Chinese visa in Pakistan as Polish citizen, now applicants should get Chinese visa in their own country. Anyway, you can have a try. The invitation letter is required.

It is harder to get a Chinese visa in Pakistan.
You can go to HK to apply for one, instead.
