How much would a taxi be from forbidden city area to the airport, are there any cheaper alternative to a taxi

It is nearly RMB 150 one way. Taking the shuttle bus is the most economical way. Catch the shuttle bus Line 2 and arrive at Xidan. Then walk east and you will find the Forbidden City.
