About:Chinese Embassy in India

My wife and me are visiting our daughter in HongKong during end Dec. She has booked us for a holiday to Shanghai from HK. We are holding confirmed air tickets to HK and back to India and have copies (recd. by e.mail from her) of tickets from HK to Shanghai and back to HK. Is this sufficient for applying for China visa? I am retired from Govt. service and both wife and me have more than Rs. 1.00 lac. each in our separate bank a/cs. Will that be enough for 4 days in China? Will the balance confirmation letter from bank be enough?
