About:Guilin Travel

making a week long trip to guilin mid-dec. with my wife and 7 year old boy. planning to do a Li River hiking trip from Yangdi village to Xingping town on day 2 and from there to Yangshuo by bus? stay 2 nights in Yangshuo and then move to Lipu and stay there for one night. subsequently plan to come back to Guilin by river cruise.

Is the above a workable idea? Anybody can help me with any suggestions? what are the mid-range good hotels in Guilin, Yangshuo and Lipu? thanks a lot for any comments

Yangdi to Xingping is 20km. It is a chanllege for 7-year-old boy. Yangdi to Jiuma Huashan is the most beautiful section. You can take bus from Guilin to Yangdi first. There is a ferry dock between Yangdi and Jiuma Huashan, but I can't tell where it is exactly. If you feel tired, you can take ferry there and admire the scenery on river. Arrive in Jiuma Huashan, you can take ferry there to Xingping. I think one night in Yangshuo is enough, but it depends on your own plan. Hoetls, inns and hostels are easy to find in Yangshuo. I have no idea about Lipu. Hope this helps.
