About:Suzhou Travel

I am planning a one day trip to a town outside of Shanghai. I came across Suzhou and Zhujiajiao. Can someone tell me which of the two I should visit since I won't be able to go to both. Will it be worth the travel in early December? Also, I would like to know the fasted way to reach either of the two towns from Shanghai and the cost for method of travel.

Well, I prefer Suzhou, which is much more charming than Zhujiajiao. Although it is winter in Dec, you could have a nice time at these classic gardens in Suzhou. At Shanghai Railway Station, there are so many bullet trains departing to Suzhou everyday. The journey is just about 40 minutes and takes you CNY26.

Hi Ms. Lan, the famous tourism spot of Suzhu should be these gardens. I think you could choose one or two for a visit, and then go to Guanqianjie to look for the most delicious food of Suzhou. You could book these hotels such as Home Inn, Jinjiang Inn or 7 Days all of which have set branches around the scenic spots. Last time, when I was in Suzhou, I stayed Home Inn at the Humble Administrator's Garden. You may have a try!

Hi all,

I had been in Suzhou as planned in April. It's wonderful! Just right time to visit Suzhou. Cool weather and flowers all around. So beautiful! The gardens are so splendourous. I rode bus around city during night. It's very good experience. Just need to prepare some coins for bus fee and getting around guide in Chinese. No many people speak English. But I was lucky. I student even took me to my hotel from train station. (I was a bit scare, but nothing happened :) Sight seeing maps are delivered free in Tiger Hill and Humble Admin Garden tourist guide office.
