About:China Visa Exemption

Please advise below countries from Europe whether need to apply visa when they travel to Guangzhou / China, and any difference for visa application if they flight to Guangzhou / China via Hong Kong?
Austria, Belgium, Demark, France, Greece, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Romania, Spain and Switzerland.

All of the citizens from the following countries need to apply for a China visa to China. I think it makes no difference that they enter China from Guangzhou directly or via HK.
