About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

Hello,

I will be arriving in HKG on Nov 17 at 7:15 am and leaving on Nov 20 at 7:00 am. If I buy the Airport Express Travel Pass for three days, is this good for 72 hours from the time of validation? Is it valid for three calendar days or say from 8:00 am till 8:00 am, 72 hours later?

The card is valid in 72 hours from the first time you use it. I think you could purchase one freely.

Hello Andrew,
It's not 72 hrs counting but 3 calender days counting. It's gets activated when you 1st travel on MTR. so say if star your travel @ 7:15 am on Nov 17 then 3 calender days would be 17,18 and 19. On 20th if you again want to travel using MTR then you won't be able to use it.
