About:Chengdu Travel

Hi.. me and my friend from singapore planning to go chengdu from 19dec to 24dec 2009.. planning to stay in Chengdu Wenjun Mansion Hotel.. a few question here hope u are able to assist..

1. how much dose it cost to take taxi frm airport to my hotel and how long dose it takes ?
2. is it possible to book a taxi from my hotel to most of the tourist attraction? like 峨嵋山 and 乐山 etc? how much dose it cost to these area ?
3. how dose the weather gonna be in chengdu during my visit?
4. Which are the are that you would recommend to photography hobbyist?
5. is it safe to travel around with the local taxi?
6. lastly is it a good time to visit chengdu during dec ?

Hope i'm not shooting too much question.. thanks in advance for your answer!

1. the taxi fare is CNY50 at most, taking about 30~40 minutes on the way.
2. yes, you could ask your hotel for booking a taxi in advance. The suggested fare is CNY300 for one-way trip. Actually, the public transport to Mt.Emei and Mt.Qingcheng is very convenient.
3. it is already cold in Chengdu then, so please wear warm sweater or down jacket, especially to the mountain area,
4. well, these natural scenic spots are beautiful, the gorgeous place is Jiuzhaigou. However, Dec is not he best season for natural beauties.
5. please take it easy to take these taxi! In case of unhappy case, please tell the driver your destination clearly, or show him the places on the map~
6. Usually, it is suggested that you come to Chengdu in Spring or Sep and Oct, when you could enjoy the most beautiful profiles.

Hi, no need return to Chengdu. Leshan is just about 30kms away from Emei, so you could take a bus to arrive there in one hour. Actually, you could visit these two places in one day. If you would like to see the sunrise on Mt. Emei, you could stay one night on the mountain and then leave for Leshan the next day. In the afternoon of the second day, you could take a bus back to Chengdu from Leshan.

IF you take a taxi from The airport to your hotel maybe cost you RMB60.i don`t know how long .if you want to take a car to EMEI ,i think it about RMB700,not a taxi,you can find the car in a rent shop .when you in chengdu ,it`s cold,maybe about 6C.I think chengdu is beautiful,you can have picture anywhere,i suggest you go to the panda-centre,it`s safe in chengdu,so you needn`t worry about the safety.over.so much questions.....

Hi.. tks for the both reply.. i was thinking to spend 1 day in emei and 1 day in leshan.. is it possible to go emei in the morning and back to chengdu by evening?
