Make sure you are in the taxi pickup area. Do not take any offer from anyone else. Starting rate should be RMB$12.50 per car, it does not make any difference if you are 1 person or 4 persons. The total cost should be less than RMB$150.00 which already included the tollway fees.

Laodifang Hotel is decent (3 stars), RMB200 /night, it is 15-20 minutes walk to Train station to Hong Kong. It is close to local shopping and restaurants. My personal favorite is Metro Park Hotel. The price is RMB$400 /night, but all the rooms are business suite with a simple kitchen. This hotel is about 10-15 minutes taxi ride to the train station to Hong Kong. Good Luck!
