Hi I shall be in Beijing in November 2009 from Xi'an and intend to travel to Tianjin by bullet train which I'm told takes about 30 minutes.Would appreciate any information on: -1) where to board the bullet train in Beijing. 2) How far is the nearest station from Beijing airport and what options do I have to get to the train station and their approximate costs?3) Where is the bullet train station nearest to Tianjin city?4) any suggested hotels and tour operators?Thank you

I suggest you fly from Xi'an direct to Tianjin instead of to Beijing.If you must go to Beijing then...(a) Bullet train departs from Beijing South Station;(b) Beijing South Station is approx. 45km from Beijing Airport. Direct taxi about 130yuan, Airport Express Train to DongZhiMen station 25yuan, plus taxi to Beijing South about 30yuan. I don't know if there are airport buses to Beijing city.(c) there is Airport Express Bus Service direct from Beijing Airport to Tianjin city, cost 90yuan(d) in Tianjin, the Bullet Train stops at Tianjin main station, no other in the city area.
