Hi!, I wish to visit Hangzhou, Shanghai and Nanjing next year Chinese New Year ( 16 Feb 2010).  Is it ok to go to these destination during CNY?  I am don't know if shops and tourist spots will be close.

Attractions will not closed during this period, perhaps it is a problem for transportation. Before the CNY, people rushed home and after that rush out. Suggest you book the ticket in advance. It is not a bad idea to have a Chinese New Year in China, anyway.Enjoy~
