About:Chinese Embassy in Pakistan

Dear Sir, I am a PhD student in New Zealand and want to attend Interdrought III Conference in Shanghai during October 11-16, 2009. My visa application from Wellington has been declined and I have been advised to apply in Islamabad. I have planned to travel to Islamabad on 27th September, and apply in Chinese embassy on 29th September for Chinese visa. I want to know whether the embassey will be working on those day or not (because of holidays for China independence day)?

There is no information about the China's National Day released by the official website of China Embassy in Pakistan. According to tradition, the embassy will be closed from October 1 to October 6.
