hi, i would like to go to macau, hong kong,guilin from quangzhou, but i do not know

Hi, I would like to go to Macau, Hong Kong, and Guilin from Quangzhou, but I do not know where I should start first as convenient way to save time.  As I look into China maps, Hongkong, Macau, and Quangzhou are close to each other; except Guilin a little bit far away.  Could you suggest me any buses, ferry, train, or airplane to go to all of these places? Also, I going to visit China in October 23, is the weather still nice at that time for all 4 places?  Thank you so much.

Yes, the weather is good for traveling in these four cities, maybe Guilin has some rainfall~Well, have you booked your flight already? If not, suggested that you fly to Macau firstly. Then, take a ferry to visit Hong Kong. After that, take a bus from Hong Kong to Guangzhou downtown area, just 3 hours is needed. Finally, you could take a train to Guilin from Guangzhou in 11~13 hours. Sounds a little longer, so you may consider flying to Guilin from Guangzhou directly.

Thanks a lot Shan.  It is really help me.  How about the visa to go to Hong Kong and Macau?  Is Chinese visa valid in Hong Kong and Macau?  Also, should I travel in October or April?  April is blooming of flowers :) and nice weather too.

No, Chinese visa is not valid in Hong Kong and Macau. You have American passport? if so, you can stay in Hong Kong and Macau without a visa to enter these two places. October is fine. It is a bit wet in April. They are both not the sale periods to shop in Hong Kong.

Personally, I recommend you take airplane from Guangzhou to Guilin. There are two reasons. First of all, the railway will drive to a far way which is from Guangzhou to Hunan to Guilin. What's more, the bus is not confortable and not safe. Besides, both two transportation will spend you 10 puls hours. Im Guilinese and never take bus or railway from Guilin to Guangzhou. Just take airplane, only 45-50 minuts and almost same price with the railway and the bus. If any question plz let me know hotmail.com|zo-zhou
