About:Tianjin Transportation

We are taking a cruise to Xingang port next month, our travel agent told us it's not walkable from the port to the taxi station because it's very far away plus you need a special permit in that area. Therefore, they requested us to pay USD$200 each for special transportation from port to taxi station. Is that true?
Can we get a taxi from the port area? How far is the distance from the port to taxi station? How much taxi charge from Xingang port to Beijing? And how long will it take?

Not heard of that. You need to confirm, for people can walk to take the city bus, the taxi station will not be far either. Special permit?! Is it mean the taxi drive should have permit to enter the port area? But it is nothing to do with passengers. Never try to take a taxi to the taxi from the port to Beijing. It will be expensive. You can take taxi to Tianjin Railway Station to catch the bullet train to Beijing (half a hour).
