Nin hao to everyone! I was formerly an ESL Teacher in China. I just want to inquire regarding a police clearance/police certificate that I got from SHANGHAI NOTARY PUBLIC OFFICE dated April 11,2008. How long does it expire? I will be having an interview on September 9, 2009 in the US Embassy Manila, Philippines, I'm just wondering, does the embassy consider my police clearance valid until my interview date? Do I need to renew it?If not, what will be the steps on how to obtain it ? Pls do reply. Your help will be highly appreciated.

Generally, it is half a year. That is to say the clearance you offer shoule be within 6 months before the date of leaving. It seems that you need to renew one. Go to the police office where you arranged you last one.
