About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Hello, this is John, I am a US citizen living in Shanghai and need to travel to Indonesia Aug 31st. Where do I need to go and what should I be prepared to give in order to receive a VISA? Also, how long does it typically take? Thanks
