i am an american citizen(american passport)and i am working for swiss/german chemical

Question

I am an American citizen(American passport)and I am working for Swiss/German Chemical company. I would like to apply for a business 1 year , multiple entry visa, (I have one on my passport for China but it has  now expired last year, (I obtained it in US)). I have my letter of invitation from Tianjin now. I will be travelling between our offices in Tinjin and Guangzhou.Can I make this request in Germany or will I have to send my passport back to Chinese embassy in US?I am now in Stuttgart.Thank you for your assistance.

You can just apply for you rChina visa from the Chinese embassy in Germany.
