About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Hi,

Quick question for you: I'll be spending a week in the Philippines, on holiday in December, and my friend (also a US citizen) would like to join me. He's currently in China on a work visa and we're wondering if he would be able to reenter China after our vacation, or would he need to apply for a new visa? If he does need to reapply, can he do so in Hong Kong, or should he reapply before he leaves China for the Philippines?

Does he have the Temporary Residence Permit? I think he has, because Z visa only permits 30 days stay duration in China, he must apply for the permit within 30 days after entry China under the help of employer at the local public security office. This Permit will allow him unlimited exits and re-entries.
