About:Beijing Travel

I am arriving in Beijing via the trans mongolian express on the 16/10 I fly out on the 19/10, the highlights I really want to see are the forbidden palce, great wall, Tianaman Square. But also wish to see the terracota army in Xian, Im planning on a day trip to xian by over night sleeper trains in both directions from beijing.
Is this do able and how could i book tickets for the trains before I leave england on the 3/10?

Yes you can take an overnight train from beijing to Xian which arrives early at morning, then visit the terracotta and city wall in the day, then a night train back to beijing.
