Is it possible to join a small group tour with you from shanghai to xian and back? I would like to travel with a group by air between these cities, leaving ideally from a hotel in Shanghai.Thanks.

You'd better contact with them directly. You may not get an answer here. As I know, I am afraid it is not applicable. I don't find such a tour as your required in their small group tour itineraries. You may check with them directly.
