About:index

It appears, owing to a change in flight times, that I will have a wait of about 24 hours at Shanghai airport when I return from Auckland in January. My flight is from Auckland to London via Shanghai.
I wondered what my options might be. Is it possible to stay in the airport? If I leave the airport, what are the visa requirements? etc.

Mr. Jones, in the year of 2008, Switzerland has become one member country of Schengen Convention. So Swiss passport holders can exempt from China visa for transiting Shanghai for up to 48 hours (in the airport or out of the airport).
So you needn't worry about remaining or leaving airport.
