About:Chinese Consulate in New York

My wife and I obtained tourist visas last Fall to partake a week visit in Shanghai. However, due to a death in the family while in Bangkok, we had to return to the United States. Thus, the visas which were valid for entry between september 2008 and december 2008 were not used. We paid $280.00 for the visas at your new york consulate office.

I am now booked for a 56 day cruise from San Diego, Ca. to Hong Kong which has two scheudled stops in China; namely, march 6 and 7 in Shanghai a nd march 9 day stop in Xiamen. Is it possibe to modify at your new york consulate office my unused visa to enable me to use this visa duly modified to be in shanghai and Xiamen as a cruise tourist?Thank you for considering this request. I am looking forward to hearing from you by email to aol.com|tmutty Thank you very much for giving consideration to this request. Sincerely, Richard Crumb

Mr. richard crumb, sorry! your unused visa can't get a renewal. Visa expires after validity limit and cannot be extended no matter whether there is number of entry left, reapplication of visa is required. All visas come into force from the dates of issuance. Applicants shall bear consequences of the uselessness of visas caused by the changes of journey due to personal or third party causes.
