Putain is full of scammers. I lived there for one years. The "English Training School" is a scam and some of the people running it will try to get you to open a bank account in YOUR name so they can sell FAKE shoes and handbags with you taking the fall should they get caught. They pull this while making "friends" with you and while you are beholden working for them at the school. Type "Putian Scam" anywhere in google. Most legit sites won't even do business with the entire city as no legit products are made there. It's all knock offs and scams. Nothing is legal about the products and getting rooked into teaching at the school which lies to the parents who pay to send their kids there AND to prospective teachers is a big, big mistake. Go to Xiamen, a lovely tourist area south of there and stay out of Putian!
