Hi Mr Qi and Mr Cathy,
Once again, thank you so much for the help rendered, god bless!
We decide on the 3rd option which is to take the train to Xiangfan then proceed to Wudangshan. We've never travel on any trains in China, are they comfortable? Do they have sleeping bunk? Can we have the hotel in Shanghai arrange the train tickets for us? All these infos will help in our planning very much, thank you.
We'll be coming to Shanghai somewhere late Oct.

Hi, Michelle, my peasure to help you out. I have checked the train arriving at 10 o'clock at Xiangfang. Train No.K123. K trains in China is faster then ordinary trains. it is while and orange color. Generall, trains in china all have sleepers, except bullet D trains. Soft sleeper is more comfortable than hard sleeper, usually 100 yuan more than the hard sleeper ticket. You can ask your hotel if they can help you arrange the train ticket. Not every hotels have the service.

Go to the community part of this website, check member Ellyse, maybe she can help for the train tickets as I remember she once said she can offer such service.

As for the hotel, if you need to book it beforehand, this website has hotel booking service. You may get better rates here than you book directly with hotel, coz usually booking centers get better quotes for the large quantity of guests. While this may not be the case for some hotels. So just choose which one you'd like to stay, and then do more comparason.
