Hello Mr Shan and Mr Cathy,
Thank you again for the help rendered, I do understand the instruction given. It seems that the whole journey departing to Wudangshan from Shanghai will take a whole day, do I need to stop in Shiyan for a night then proceed to Wudangshan the next day and if i need to spend the night in Shiyan, can I just check into a good hotel without making any advance reservation (Oct is a peak season in China)? Also, the domestic flight to Wuhan from Shiyan, is there an early morning flight? Is it easy to buy the flight tickets while I stay over at Shanghai? Please help, a million Thanks!

Hi, Mrs. Michelle. there are more clues for you:
1. Shiyan has no airport, so no flights available to Wuhan
2. By far the fatest way is to take air plane to Xiangfan from Shanghai and then Xiangfan is about 2.5 hours from Wudangshan, the the flight arrives at Xiangfang after 7pm.
3. Suggest you take a train to Shiyan (over 22 hours), the earliest arrive at 4:47pm and then change a bus to Wudangshan within one hour.
4. Or you can take a train to Xiangfan (some 19 hours), the earliest reach at 10am, then change to a bus to Wudangshan. So you can arrange your accomodation in Wudang without a nightstay in Shiyan or Xiangfan.
5. October is a high season, because of the National Day, the first week of the month. The holiday is October 1-8. You can avoid going at this period.

You refered 'the domestic flight to wuhan from shiyan', maybe you mean Shanghai not Shiyan? Coz there is no airport in Shiyan.

For the ticket and hotel booking, as long as you are not traveling during Oct 1 - 8, there shouldn't any problems.
