Hello, Mr.Bryce,There are many trains between Nanjing and Shanghai everyday. The tickets can be easily got at the Nanjing Railway Station. Generally speaking, train tickets are purchased about 5-7 days piror to the travel day. If you want to book the ticket in advance, you may consult your hotel in Nanjing to check whether they can help you. Or you may try to find a local travel agency in Nanjing. Usually if you only book the train tickets, you also need to pay extra handling charge. Hope this can help.
