About:Chinese Embassy in Switzerland

Hi,

I will be travelling to China in July and need to apply for a visa (in Switzerland). I live in Geneva and I know that there is a consulate in Geneva. Is it possible to apply for the tourist visa in person at the consulate, or do I have to apply through the embassy in Bern (which is quite far away and not very convenient)? Furthermore (in particular if I must apply through Bern), is it necessary to apply in person, or can I send my application by post?

Thanks for your help.

It is possible to apply for an L visa at the consulate. There is also a consulate in Zurich. It is better to go to apply in person.
