About:Great Wall Culture

um yeaah , im doing a landmark projeCt , & ii thought It`d be kool to do tha greaaTwallL of chinnA !?... buuut , i have noo research on ChinnA ,..so i was wondering if somebody coulLd anser a few of my quuestiooOns !? .. 1.how long did it take to build? 2. was it really prisoners that built tha wall? & were they FORCED?..3.how old is tha GreatWallL of chinnA ? 4. did anybody OWN tha greatWAlllL of chinnaA ? thaanks . if ANYONE coulld help me, I`d REAALLY appreiciate yoour help & timme !,

To answer your questions one by one:
1. It took over 2,000 years to build the wall from the Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC - 476 BC)to Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644).
2. Yes, the prisoners were forced to build the wall, but peasants and soldiers also built the wall.
3. The China Great Wall is over 2,000 years old.
4. The Great Wall of China belongs to Chinese people.
