I just came back from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and it is definitely worth every effort and minute of it. There are little snow now, but there is a walkway and you can walk to the top. The views are mesmerizing and beautiful, and the experince and cable car ride is unforgetable.

Near the cable car station, you can watch the 'Impression Lijiang', the show produced by Zhang Yimou, internationally acclaimed Chinese filmmaker and former cinematographer and director of Opening and Closing Ceremonies of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, alongside with co-director and choreographer Zhang Jigang. Simply awesome.

Do note the cable stops above 4500 metres and for those less adaptable, there may be mountain sickness systoms. Oxygen can be purchased to allow for more adaptability.

It is hard to move around in wheel chair, as there are many staircases.
