About:Directions for Use of Shanghai Public Transportation Card

I read that the SPT card is only valid for 3 hours, is this correct?

Three hours?! No, I didn't hear about this. The card's period of validity is two years, that is to say you can use it in two years since you put money in it. If you transfer to another bus after you just get out of a subway within one hour, you will get a 50% discount on the bus ticket. Is that you mean?!
