About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

To whom it may concern,

I am a US passport holder currently residing in Japan. This July I am planning on traveling to China for ten days, and I am trying to get a tourist visa without taking time off work to get my application processed in a major city like Tokyo. The trip is part of an American eclipse tour group, and therefore the American passports are being sent on bulk to NYC. Could I send my passport home to get it processed there? If not, are there any mail-in visa application services in Japan that I could make use of to save the trouble of going to the Chinese consolate myself? I live in Toyama-ken, so the nearest visa processing centers I am aware of are in Osaka and Tokyo which are expensive to get to. Does the embassy in Fukuoka accept visa applications? Information online isn't especially clear on the subject. Please help! Sincerely, Davis

You can send your passports home to apply there or send your application form in the nearest Chinese consulates in Japan.
