About:China Embassy in Thailand

Hello

Canadian citizen living in Taiwan. I will visit Bangkok for a couple of days. I want to obtain a visitors visa to go to China. The first three requirements are straight forward.

About the 4th one:
Do I need my flight itenerary?
What about a bank deposit certificate(what's that)? If that means receipt does it have to be Canadian account or Taiwanese account?
And/or travelers cheques?
How much money in the account or in travelers checks do I need?
Can it just be baht in my hand?

Thanking you in advance,

Binnzo

The bank statement required is to prove that you are able to cover the expense in your trip. For applying for a tourist visa, the flight ticket is usually required.

So Taiwanese account is ok? What about cash in hand or travellers checks?
Do I need a hotel reservation?
As a Canadian I don't have to apply for anything to visit Thailand. Does this effect the process at all?

I think your Taiwanese account is ok. You can carry only 4,000 USD (cash in hand) when you enter the Chinese border. You can apply for China visa in Thailand without a Thai visa. Hotel reservation proof will be helpful for your application.
