If I will go to Shenzhen from Hong Kong and within that particular day, I will fly directly to Bangkok, is there a need for me to apply for a Chinese Visa? If not, what are the documents/processes that i need to undergo? Thanks

Visa free within 24 hours, but you can not leave the airport. Take the connecting flight through ticket with you.
