Re : Great Wall of China Tour

Do you know that you can see the Great Wall of China for free ?
If you are in Beijing City Centre, around the Mass rapid transport, you will find locals distributing tours brochure advertising for RMB100.00 (USD15.00)for a one day tour. They state "Pay after the tour is finished".
But their main goal is to pack you off to jade/ precious stone emporiums to fleece your money, many items starting from RMB 4000.00 (USD 650.00) to RMB 1,000,000.00.
But they Do bring you to Great wall of CHina and Ming tomb at the minimum and why not for USD15.00. They will send you there and leave you alone which is what I really like.
I paid USD 15.00 because the tour guide came to me immediately and ask for the monies. If I stand by his brochure - I only pay at the end of the tour. At the end of the tour, the tourist guide disappeared, knowing that her bad intentions are at last exposed. I know of two men who did not pay a single cent for the tour!!, who insisted pay when finished!!

The best part is - when the tour is finished, they will send you back to Beijing City Centre, near the Mass rapid transport and you can take the train back to your cosy hotel. Yeah, it is a "Safe Tour"
It was really a cheap, cheating tour and we enjoyed it and am still talking about it...ha ha ha.

Beijing is still transforming and this is one of its peculiar way to make a fast buck !!
