About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Hello,I’m citizen of Czech Republic and I have been studying at Memorial University of Newfoundland as an exchange student; it means I do not have any permanent address in Canada. I plan to leave Canada on May and immediately after that I would like to follow my partner to international conference in Wuhan where I am officially invited. Can I apply for and get visa in Canada? If yes, do I have to go to embassy in Ottawa or can I apply in Toronto where is consulate. Do I need other documents than passport, invitation letter and application form?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

You also need a Canadian residence permit (or a valid Canadian visa) for your application.
