About:Tianjin Transportation

Hi Mr Peter Churchman from China,

There is a change of my plan. I will be staying in Beijing for 1 night when I arrived and I will take the morning train to Tanggu.

Can you please tell me how long it takes to go from Shangri-La Hotel to Beijing South Station by taxi in the morning?

If Shangri-La is a distance away from Beijing South Station, what are the 5-star hotels near Beijing South Station?

Thank you once again,
Ms Spring fm Singapore

The Shangrila Hotel is quite a distance from Beijing South Station (there are none 5 star international hotels in the vicinity of the Station). If you intend to travel from Hotel to Station during morning rush hour you may need to allow up to one hour by taxi - the traffic is very unpredictable.
You can halve the distance if you stay at Grand Hyatt Hotel at Oriental Plaza (on Dong Chang An Jie). You could also stay at Marriott Courtyard Hotel at Chong Wen Men, which is even closer but still approx 15-20 mins by taxi.
