About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Hello,

I am a German citizen and now I am an exchange student in Winnipeg. I would like to visit a friend in China (Qingdao)in April for 3 or 4 weeks. Could you please tell me, which kind of visa do I need? And where do I have to apply? Directly at the Embassy or by a travel agency? And how much do I have to pay? And do I have to buy a ticket in advance? Can I pay for the visa with my German credit card?
Thank you in advance for your assistance

You need a tourist visa (L visa). You can apply for the visa in the embassy or entrust a travel agency. Either is OK. For a sigle-entry L-visa, it costs about 50 Canadian dollars. The visa application will be handled in four working days.
