I visited Wuxi for the first time 2 weeks ago, I found it to be a lovely location. The hotel Razinski was excellent with great shopping bargains to be found on the ground floor ( bought many presents for family with christmas so close - dont forget to haggle, its expected lol ). Wuxi itself was a more built up area that i imagined with lots of shopping centres and malls, though we visited the lake area it was wet and cold, so we never stayed long,,, though on the sunday the weather improved and we had the pleasure of visiting the bronze budda in horse mountain area,,, for me, so far this is the highlight of my stay here and i would reccomment this to everyone,,, was very impressive, though please allow several hours to fully appreciate not only the budda itself but the grounds and palaces included, Price was around 100 rmb but well worth it, Best wishes and enjoy the experience, Dave W
ps the new bar street area was also excellent, full of young normal chinese just out enjoying themselves,,, a great night out.
