About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do we qualify for the 240 hour Visa

My wife and I, along with another couple from Canada, are taking a trip to China in March 1. We are flying Delta Airlines to Seoul, South Korea and then taking Korean Air Flight KE 855, landing in Beijing at 12:40 pm on March 1. We are scheduled to fly from Shanghai to Hong Kong on the morning of March 11. We do not have that ticket in hand yet. We will also have a Chinese guide with us the whole time. From everything I have researched, we qualify for the 240-hour Visa. Would you agree? Thank you!

Yes, you are absolutely correct and your entire itinerary (route and dates) is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. Please, just have in mind that you will really need that exit ticket (toward Hong Kong) bought before you depart toward China. You will be asked to present it definitely. I wish you a great visit to China.
