About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

240 hour visa

hi we are travelling to china arriving bejing on the 3 march at 14.45 we are flying to hong kong on the 13th march at 21.00 from yichang would we qualify for the 240 hour visa please as we cant seem to get a definate answer form our agents they say we have to find out ourselves

Yes, your itinerary is eligible for 240 hour visa free transit, but under the condition that you are not flying in Beijing from Hong Kong. In other words, you are not allowed to have Hong Kong as an immediate point before mainland China! So, if your immediate point before mainland China is not Hong Kong, your itinerary is definitely and undoubtedly eligible. Also, your number of days is also eligible because the day of arrival is not counted against your available 10 days (240 hours) that you are allowed to stay in mainland China. Two details more:

- You will have to buy your exit ticket to Hong Kong even before you arrive in China
- Please, use correct terminology because this is not a visa, but 240 hour visa free transit, so there is no visa of any kind.
