About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

240 free visa eligible?

Hi,
Is a USA citizen able to apply for this visa flying from Seoul ----> Shenzhen ----> Hong Kong (via ferry from Shekou port) arrive SZ April 7th, depart for Hong Kong April 9th?

Yes, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. It is important to understand that you will have to buy your ferry ticket in advance, even before you depart from Seoul because you will be asked to present it in both Seoul at the time of your check-in and upon your landing in Shenzhen. It is the best to have it as a printout or as a screenshot. By the way, I would suggest you to think about taking a train from Shenzhen Futian station to Hong Kong West Kowloon station because it is far more practical compared to ferry. In any case, you will decide whether you will use a train or a ferry, but keep in mind that the ticket has to be bought even before you depart from Seoul. Have a wonderful journey.
