Yes, you can, but you will have to apply for a Shenzhen 5 day visa on arrival at the border crossing. The best and strongly recommended border crossing is definitely Lo Wu / Luohu that you can reach from the center of Hong Kong by direct suburban train on East Rail Line (Hong Kong MTR). The price for a visa is 130 CNY and you can pay for it by your bank card (debit or credit) or in Chinese cash (CNY). Everything is done at the border crossing and you do not have to do anything in advance. After your stay in Shenzhen you can return to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing and also any mean of transport, high speed train included. Have a nice visit to Shenzhen.
