About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

240 hours Visa Free to China

If we fly from US to Seoul, Korea and transit flight to Shanghai, can we apply for 240 day visa free in Shanghai? We will fly back from Shanghai to Hongkong and transit to US. If we qualify for visa free, can we visit Xi'an, water town and Hangzhou? Thanks.

Yes, if your immediate stops before and after China Mainland are Seoul and Hong Kong, you qualify for the 240h visa free transit; and you can visit Xi'an, Hangzhou and more within the 240 hours during your stay. Actually, you can also exit China Mainland from other citites, not must Shanghai.
