About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travelling within china

Hi,

So I am planning to visit China in Chengdu for 5 days from London and my next flight after those 5 days would be from Chengdu to Nepal, thus qualifying for the transit visa.
My question is that within those 5 days am I allowed to leave the sichuan province in Chengdu to go to Chongqing or am I only limited to stay in the sichuan province?

1. Yes, the south gate is the nearest to Shenwu Gate and there is a tourist service center.
2. You can just show your passport to the staff at the checkpoint and then enter. Usually you don't need to queue.
