10-year multiple-entry visa application while living in a third country

As a Canadian citizen residing in Japan, would I be eligible to apply for a 10-year multiple-entry at the Chinese embassy in Japan.

Sorry, I'm not sure about the ID. But, the Embassy and consulates provide walk-in service now, so you don't need an appointmnent for submission. If you have uploaded all your materials and your application status is "Passport to be submitted", then you can just walk in the consular office directly.
